Color Photography and Professional Photography Equipment

William Eggleston

Color photography was once unheard of. Until the 1970’s, color was reserved only for the most special experiences. Today, at Princeton University Art Museum, you can view an exhibit called “Starburst: Color Photography in America 1970-1980.” It’s fascinating to think that even 50 years ago, color photography barely existed.

William Eggleston is one of the most dominant photographers in the show. His reputation has been vast ever since his debut show in 1976 at the MOMA. Alongside him, Steven Shore’s deadpan landscapes and Neal Slavin’s portraits capture a snapshot of America at a time before AIDS and crack.. These photographers depict America as it was, and demonstrate how we’ve come to where we are today.

Point. Click. Shoot. You need to practice if you ever want to reach the realm of Eggleston and Slavin. Do you want to get more out of your photography experience, but feel like you aren’t quite ready for professional photography equipment? You can try a digital camera rental NYC. That way you get a better sense of how to use that expensive professional photography equipment and the practice will make you a better photographer. And even if you don’t want to take pro pics, at least view the shots the new masters have taken.
